It's a Chagall life

So here's an update about my cooking goals:

I have now made pumpkin bread, some chicken stuff and today, in response to lamenting about the long since gone Pudding on the Rice, I made rice pudding. I have learned that the best way to curb your appetite is to cook. With the exception of cookies, I have noticed how I will crave something all day but as soon as I start to make it for myself I am so sick of being around the food that I don't even want to eat it anymore. This is why fast food is so dangerous! You crave something, ten seconds later you have it in front of you, and two minutes after that It's all gone! Or maybe cooking is just a part of the eating experience. You don't have to eat as much to feel satisfied with a food, because you already started your experience with cette food previously!

Today my dear mother surprised me with a new set of pots and pans that she got for an amazing price. Now I don't have to "borrow" (aka take permanently) her pots anymore! Thanks Mom!

I have been thinking a lot about Marc Chagall lately,
This is his La Mariee.

And not only have I been THINKING about Chagall, all day I have been FEELING like I have stepped into one of his paintings. I think this is directly related to a lack of sleep.

Today was one of those days where I changed my clothes over 13 times; nothing felt right. At the end of the night I have ended up in basketball shorts and a tight tee. I hate basketball shorts, but right now I am so perfectly content.

I am very content to walk to my door alone. And Lay under my handmade covers. And blog.

Goodnight
xoxo

  1. Yay for new pots and pans! And Chagall is a very interesting painter... I still find it strange that they had him repaint the ceiling of the auditorium in the Opera Garnier. It's cool, but it doesn't really fit....

And oh no! Let's see how it goes boy is now an ex! We need to chat.

  2. I love this. And you. And I would love to see Chagall stick you in one of his paintings in your basketball shorts and sweater dress. I love that you're such a chef lately... I can't wait for your turn to make the OG dinner!
